LUXURIOUS HANDCRAFTED SENSORY WELLBEING PRODUCTS

 

Since graduating in textile design, I worked freelance in print design for fashion fabrics, for many years.

Now more designer/maker, I am able to fulfil my need of expressing myself creatively, &  balancing family, self care, social times and everything else I need to do & be.

I`m lucky enough to have a beautiful workspace at home, and I currently love to make products aligned with my yoga/meditation lifestyle, emphasizing the sensory aspects of colour, scent, feel & affirmation.

I  feel inspired by the circular motif of the Mandala, a complete symbol of a miniature `universe`, said to be an enhancement to meditation. I also work with the Chakra symbols, & I love imagery from the plant world. I have carved lino cuts of my own symbols, & motifs, which  I hand print onto my silk eye pillows, framed Intention artworks & silk scarves.

I dye my fabrics, using natural dyes, both foraged/collected by myself, & sourced from sustainable suppliers, as a base on  which to work. They create the most beautiful, gentle colours, which are in alignment with my need to be as close to Nature & as sustainable as possible. I have also made my own watercolour paints & printing inks, using crystal and plant materials, which I am now using in a range of Nature inspired artworks.

I feel very drawn to Gold, I use Gold foiling, as well as paint & thread, for finishing touches.

I sell my work at craft & wellbeing fairs where I love interacting with my customers, a balance to working from home. I also sell from my Etsy shop, & use sustainable packaging as much as possible. I  supply yoga studios, retreats, & sound baths  with bespoke orders. Please message me to discuss your individual requirements.
